235,000 miles today :D and [knocks on wood] car is nevertheless running famously. Some interior rattle at high speeds but that is to be expected.
I did, however, have to dump about $600 in repairs a few months back for some fluid flushes/replacement, and a tiny oil leak (can't call up the root cause). That's the unmarried largest repair pecker besides tires I've ever had since I bought it make new in October 2008.

Congratulations! In the grand scheme of things, $600.00 for vehicle service / repairs is corking at all. I spent $275.00 simply to have a leaking water pump replaced on mine a couple months back :|.

My mom's Vibe turned over 56,000 miles this past week. Mine has about a hundred miles to go, so information technology will probably plow over some time during this next calendar week.

My 2007 Vibe just crossed over 500,000km (312k miles) on Tuesday. Coincidentally, Mon was the 8 year anniversary of the day it was built.

For 1/ii million kilometers, I haven't had to do a heck of a lot to it. Transmission Transmission failed at 140,000km and again at 300,000. Simply I knew about this issue after GM replaced it the first fourth dimension. When I inverse it myself at 300k, I made sure to get a manual from a 2005 or older, no problems since. I also replaced the clutch while I was in at that place. Swapped the dash cluster at 299,999 then I could continue to track business concern milage. But other than that, and regular maintenance (brakes, oil changes, spark plugs etc), she runs groovy!

I accept 315,000 miles on my 2007 Vibe. And yes, it does end at 299,999. Since and so I accept been using the tripometer to keep track of how many more miles I take put on it. And then every 10,000 miles, I accept to log it, to keep rail.

Car runs great, only I am concerned nigh the fact that no ane wants to practise a tranny fluid change. Their answer is just to keep running it, and it concerns me a flake.

I'm not really having a problem, I just think it should exist changed.

Have about 304800 on my 06 base! Nearly all Highway miles too and so the original clutch is still working pretty well.

I'm not actually having a problem, I merely call back it should be changed.

I'g thinking I should alter the transmission fluid every bit well, why doesn't anyone want to change yours?
I had a mechanic tell me I should basically employ it or lose it, referring to the car in general.

This may be complete nonsense simply if I think correctly I was told years ago that if transmission service wasn't done every bit regularly scheduled (significant that fluid isn't inverse on schedule from the beginning of it's life) over fourth dimension "crud" forms in piddling nooks and crannies. This crud doesn't impair function only when a high mileage transmission is opened for the first time later in life this grime breaks loose and can bladder around causing all kinds of issues. This leads to the common advice "if it is working leave it alone".

I agree. The auto trans on my dad's 2001 s10 (~314,000 miles) started slipping every and then often a couple weeks ago. He took it to our mechanic and they said that basically the manual is starting to go. They didn't want to change the transmission fluid and filter because they said that would just kill the manual quicker. They said they've seen people go another 50,000 miles before the manual finally gives out for good, so my dad'south merely babying it and hoping for the all-time.

Just crossed 110k miles yesterday.

Bought it with 80k dorsum in Nov 2013.
I've put money into it, only it was money well spent..

Tires (Got some Continental farthermost contact DWS (later dawned on me, DWS stands for Dry Wet Snowfall, tire wear indicating what information technology'south still proficient for as the letters wearable off SWD, snow starting time) helped too kill that horrible road noise)
Pads and Rotors (both were original, and rotors were bad)
Suspension (quick struts were a trivial leaky when car was purchase)
Coolant flush (*shakes fist at Toyota dealership* darn y'all Toyota, putting dexcool in your engine!)
Replaced driverside rocker molding (previous one was had a rip at the back corner and cracking all the manner downward)
Grand&N SRI with AEM dryflow filter (saw ii-3 MPG increase, love the dissonance)
Full frazzle replacement (headers back, cept for the downwards piping between header and true cat) (saw some other fleck of mpg out of it, and beloved the sound)
engine block heater (for those few common cold days in St. Louis winters, easy self installation)

Oh, and it's been jumped over by a deer, yes... not hit, in the usual idea, but was able boring down enough that the deer paused for a moment and so decided to go most behind my car and jump it, dragging a hoof across the back triangle window, leaving a skillful scuff.

Our 2005 Vibe (ordered custom from the dealership back at the finish of '04, received in Dec) has approx. 270,000 km. So far, $150 for fixing an exhaust leak, new tires a few times, regular oil changes. I inverse the front struts when I thought the wife had said they were reported every bit leaky when purchasing new tires, but I was mistaken and swapped out practiced struts. I've inverse the plugs once and brake pads once.

Nosotros only bought a 2010 with 19600 km on it - certain hope it works out as well equally the '05. I'thou a scrap concerned as it has car manual and the old was manual.

My 2007 base Just passed 163,000km!(roughly 100,000 miles)

Have owned it since 70,000km and its been a blessing!

Regular oil changes every 5000km.

Washed a couple of fluid change outs(transmission and coolant)

Had to replace the intake manifold gasket a few months back.

Other than that just front brakes accept been done in one case so far!

Starting to ride a lilliputian rough but from I've read(and experienced) these are rougher riding cars to begin with!

Actually hoping to have this affair until at least 300,000km!

I'1000 at nearly 308,600 miles at present. The CEL just came on (PO171, fuel system lean). I made a thread over in the "problems/warranty bug" section of the lath. The automobile seems to exist running normally, at to the lowest degree for a car with that many miles. The manual transmission feels solid. It does accelerate somewhat sluggishly (I am in Colorado driving mostly around 5500' tiptop).

What an crawly car. It feels like information technology could hit 400K! this guy did a couple years ago: viewtopic.php?t=32781

A hair over 117k on my 03 Envy Vibe. Bought it in July '13 with 102,30 on the clock. Too routine stuff like inspections/bombardment/oil changes/fluid changes, the but affair I've had to replace was a starter ($300..probably could have been much less but it happened in an inconvenient common cold time of year), although I'm near to DIY the serpentine belt next week as information technology's starting to crack. At the pace I bulldoze, I'll probably accept this auto another 10 years minimum.

Having a lot of trust in Pontiac and Toyota, i week ago I purchased an '06 base model,5 speed with 253980 miles on her! I am the 2d owner, she seems to exist well maintaned. Engine runs well, shifter doesn't feel all loosy-goosy like my old car, drives down the route with no pull to either side, steering bicycle is perfectly centered,no rattles from anywhere, body is very solid and rust costless(except for a 2 inch wide spot under the leading border of the hood) . The drivers door stop/strap is broke, recall I take to go to the dealer for that, shoot, simply remembered no more Pontiac dealers! Hopefully the Matrix uses the same part.Thinking about a cold air intake or K&N filter.Any thoughts on that?
