Boeing 737-800

Total FLEET: 7,690 +iii.3%*

The most popular aircraft in the U.S. Armada in 2020 was the Boeing 737-800 with 841 units ahead of the Boeing 737-700 (572 units) and the Airbus A320ceo (569 units).

In 2020, the U.S. commercial shipping inventory included 7,690 aircraft, up from 7,445 aircraft in 2019 (+245/+iii.three%*). The remaining 440 shipping were turboprops, concern jets and piston-engine aircraft.

Of the 7,690 aircraft in the U.S. inventory, 3,342 or 43.5% were manufactured by Boeing, ane,767 or 23.0% by Airbus, 1,001 or 13.0% by Bombardier, 972 or 12.half dozen% by Embraer, 245 or 3.two% by Cessna and 233 or 3.0% by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing), with ten other manufacturers bookkeeping for the remaining 130 aircraft.

In 4th identify, we have the Airbus A321ceo (438 vs. 424 in 2019), an aircraft that has moved rapidly up the list in recent years. The A321 (both ceo and neo) has been widely used every bit replacement model for aging Boeing 757s. The the Bombardier CRJ200 takes fifth place (403 vs. 426) ahead of the Boeing 757-200, Embraer E175, Airbus A319ceo, Boeing 737-900ER, and Bombardier CRJ900.

In 2020, now new aircraft models entered the fleet. Every bit of 2020, the fleet no longer includes the Airbus A310 and Embraer ERJ-135

*In 2020, United Express operator, CommutAir, was added the armada, which is 1 of the main reasons for the increase in the 2020 inventory. CommmutAir operates 168 Embraer ERJ-145 regional jets, many of which were part of the ExpressJet Airlines fleet in 2019.
